OptionTrading.nl has been renewed!

Changes

OptionTrading.nl has got a big makeover as the entire site has been redesigned. The following improvements have been done:
  • New look and feel: the front end has been redesigned
  • User friendliness: all calculators and tools have been ported to single page applications. This improves usability but especially allows you to evaluate the option strategies better.
  • Web 2.0 compliant: the site now uses AJAX technology, is based on Modx CMS and has some new cool features
I am very enthousiastic about the new site, I hope you can spare some time to leave feedback or send a quick message on what you think of the site, what you use the site for and what improvements or new features you would like. Questions or comments about option trading or website development are of course also very welcome.

I would hate to calculate the number of hours per page it took to set up the site, but I am sure that without the use of a number of great open source development projects it would have taken me a multitude of the time I have put in now. Note that the entire site has been developed using free open-source software! A special thanks to:
  • MODX: open source content management system + many add-ons
  • Mootools and jQuery: compact javascript frameworks
  • Flot: open source plotting framework
  • Notepad++: excellent text and code editor + php debugging
  • FireBug: great JavaScript / CSS / HTML debugger
